Mom

I had a previous, fairly detailed, post about my mom that I removed. It's not that anything is a secret, I just decided that some things are better left off of the world wide web. Saying that..... I still want to document what has been happening in my/hers/our life.

My mom found out she had a mass on her lung and that it needed to be removed. She found out on a Tuesday and had surgery to remove the mass that Friday. They ended up taking out the entire middle lobe on her right lung and sent the lymph nodes for pathology testing. She was discharged from the hospital the following Monday. Though she is still recovering and her body is readjusting to it's new lung "situation", she is doing very well! I want to thank everyone for your sweet words and prayers. This was a very scary thing for all of us and although we all handled it in different ways... none of us would have made it without all those words of encouragement and prayers.

She got the news the week after her surgery that her lymph nodes came back ALL CLEAR! Praise the Lord! She will have her follow up appointment next week and we are hoping to hear all good news! Until next time...
