We are slowly, but surely, working on "personalizing" our house. I had been bugging G to paint the office for a while and I finally decided/demanded we get it done! These are the "before shots:
After:
My vision was to paint the room a light grey. Once we got the color onto the walls it is a definite blue. You can't really tell in the pictures, but it's blue. Thankfully, the color is really pretty because we G was not about to re-paint it! I am not a fan of our desk... my "vision" is something lighter and less bulky. So, if you know anyone looking to buy a desk.... give me a holler! Ha!
G has an annual awards banquet for work and he won TWO this year! So proud of this guy! One award was voted on by his peers... it's always nice to be recognized by the people you work with.
We also attended the annual Gala at my MIL's school. It's always a good time and they had an amazing band this year!! We went home with a few bottles of wine, some whiskey (which will be passed on to G's sister and brother-in-law), and a pass for 60 FREE visits to the outdoor doggie swim park down the road from our house!
This guy... he's always doing some silly something or other! His latest pastime is (somehow) picking the foot grippers off the shower floor and eating them. Yup.... eating them! No clue how he does it, but we were finding three of these a day at one point! Crazy dog!
And since the grippers are one of his favorite things... I'll end this post with one of Jax's least favorite things.... getting his nails trimmed. He really is a big baby when it comes down to it, and he HATES being picked up. So getting him up on the table is already starting off on the wrong foot. He cowers and lays flat on the ground and is like a child throwing a fit... it's like he makes himself dead weight so he's actually heavier and you can't pick him up! I also think the vibrations of the drimmel freak him out! So, as you can see... he's just thrilled.
Look at that face :)
It feels good to be back at it in the blog-o-sphere! Ha! In the hustle and bustle of life it's nice to look back and remember and relish in all the little things that make life so enjoyable. Lots more to come. Until next time....
